*A Park & Ride location at the Flea Market was offered with Moover buses transporting to and from the fairgrounds every 30 minutes.  Adults could purchase admission at this gate for $5.00, and save $1.00, however few took advantage of the savings, with a total of seven cars at the lot.

NO FRIED DOUGH!  A couple of weeks prior to our fair, Blue Ribbon Shows (BRS), the amusement company provider had behavioral and conduct issues with a subcontracted entity which provided many of the gaming booths and food vendors.  The relationship between the two parties had deteriorated enough that BRS kicked them off their show, and being mid season, has had trouble finding replacements.  Unfortunately, this situation was not provided to the DVFDA Trustees until about 30 minutes before opening on Thursday.  BRS has a contracted exclusive right to sell many food items including Fried Dough.  The fair was eager to work with BRS to allow Fried Dough to be produced by our local vendors to everyone's mutual satisfaction, our vendors, BRS, and all of our fairgoers.  However, the fair could not come to terms with BRS in a timely manner.  To all who missed the Fried Dough at the fair, we are sorry.  To all who indicated that they did not miss the games, Thank you!
